Red earth

I found out about a Twitter art exhibition a while ago, but didn’t look into what was involved until last week. I thought some of you artists out there might like to take part.

The idea is simple, and was started by a Swedish artist, David Sandum. Firstly, you have to be on Twitter. You submit a postcard-sized (no larger than 16 x 12 cms) piece of original art by post. Your artwork is shown in an exhibition where people can buy (the next one is in Los Angeles in February). The proceeds from the sale of artwork go to a local cause. In Los Angeles, this is Art Division, who provide a training programme in an under-served area for young adults aged 18-25 with a passion for the visual arts.

Your artwork needs to arrive in Los Angeles by January 4th, 2013. You can find out all the details here.

I haven’t decided what to send yet, but have been having great fun painting a lot of postcard-sized pieces.
