Rain over Walberswick

We walked along the beach at Walberswick, a little seaside village in the county of East Anglia. We walked back along the marshes. It was a beautiful sunny day. At one point, I looked back and saw the sky had turned blue/black. Despite picking up the pace, the rain caught us up and drenched us completely.

You can see the photo on which I based the painting in a previous post here.

    • Oh sorry Melissa, I should have explained. Walberswick is a little village on the coast of Suffolk in East Anglia in the UK. On that day, we’d walked along the beach and this painting shows the view walking back along the marshes. At the centre of the painting is the base of an old windmill. The rainclouds did catch us up and we got thoroughly drenched!
